In our tour „Pearl of the Danube“ you take a bike ride along the most beautiful route along the Danube river. In this tour you will get acquainted with the Danube Valley, with beautiful nature and culture. On your way you will find castles, small villages and amazing nature. The purpose of this journey is the UNESCO heritage oft he Danube bend. This amazing place is called the Schloegen because the Danube is turned around 180° and flows in the other direction. Here the river reaches ist highest point and proudly demonstrates all the beauty and power of nature.
Interesting fact: the Schloegen loop surprisingly combines culture and history. Upstairs are the ruins of the old Haihenbach castle. Here you listen to old legends and take photos from the observation deck.
Description oft he route: first we ride a bicycle for 20 kilometers. Then we cross the river by ferry. After that we go upstairs on foot, it takes 30 minutes. Enjoy a picturesque view oft he bend oft he Danube. We go to see the ruins of the castle and go back. You walk along beautiful forest paths, listen to the birds singing and enjoy the divine panorama.
